The Breakthrough and the Terror Inside

Two nights ago I swallowed two capsules of a powdered extract of psilocybin mushrooms. I was expecting an experience, vivid visualizations of my mind turned inside out and connections thickening between the thoughts in my head, but I was very ill prepared for what was to become the most intense, enlightening, terrifying experience of my life.
Earlier, I had spent the entire day with my girlfriend who was leaving that evening. We ate some delicious Korean food and fucked the day away holed up in her bedroom. Needless to say, by the time she left and nighttime had crept up on me, I was exhausted and devoid of energy. Not to mention that my knees felt like jelly. Still, I figured I would pop the capsules really quickly, head down the street to a little park and sit beneath a tree and see what my mind would do. I didn't make it out the door.
Approximately fifteen minutes passed before I began feeling the extract, which is much quicker than I ever thought shrooms could hit. My exhaustion was amplified and my body felt almost poisoned. I was yawning a lot so I sat down on my bed and stared at the closet in front of my bed. Some amount of time had passed (I couldn't tell you how much) and then a haze surrounded everything. The edges of my sheets popped out at me and I instantly recognized the trip. I got up with every intention of putting my shoes on and going outside when my body began to feel so strange that I had to lay back down. I turned off the lights and closed my eyes.
Instantly twisting tubes and tentacles of energy burst forward out of the blackness. They were gyrating and pulsing and made of colors that I do not have names for. My best description would be infared and the equivalent of ultraviolet, but for the color green. They grew and grew and twisted until they were inside me and they were sucking my into the twitching tubes of light and energy. It was miraculous. I opened my eyes and, for some reason, took the cell phone from my pocket and called my girlfriend. I don't really remember what we talked about but I do remember my phone and my hand floating in the air a distance away from my head. Eventually I hung up and turned the lights back on.
At this point my body felt weirder than ever, much stranger than it ever has during my prior hallucinogenic experiences. I was a little cold and I put my hands between my legs, grabbing my thighs.
I run quite frequently, and train in martial arts and as such I have very large leg muscles. As I grabbed my thighs the muscles morphed and became softer and more sinewy and slippery. They were constantly moving until the began to feel like the body of a large snake. As I made this connection my unusually sharp canine teeth began to grow and they became fangs, and I was no longer human, but instead a huge murderous python and I thrashed violently in my bed, shaking the walls of my room.
Space jumped around and had a mind of its own, I ended up on my bathroom floor. The floor became at once a ceiling and a wall. Voices whispered incoherently to me. Then I peaked.
My skin grew warm and began to melt into a gooey hot tar and I could pull and stretch it and mold it. When I woke up the next day I found vicious scratch marks all over my body.
Eventually, after throwing up into a trashcan and having a three hour long conversation with my father, which I believe involved him playing the guitar and telling me his childhood stories, I fell asleep.
That night, as I slept I was a wolf and I was feasting and howling and blood was everywhere.
This was my darkest trip ever, and in hindsight I really could have had a more positive trip if I had waited until the sun was out the next day and my body wasn't so worn out.
I want this post to serve as an introduction to this blog that I am beginning. I hope that this website becomes a place for me to write and share my ideas about hallucinogenic experiences, as well as post material from friends and myself that was created during mind altering, hallucinatory experiences.
Within the next few weeks I will be taking my first DMT trip. I have a great feeling that it will provide plenty of material for this blog.
